Privacy Policy – Dux
Start playingWhat this privacy notice covers
This privacy notice explains how duxcasino-deutschland.de ("we", "us", "our") collects, uses and protects your personal information when you visit our independent casino review portal. Dux is the casino brand we write about; we are not that operator. This notice concerns only what our site collects – not what happens once you leave our portal and register with the operator itself.
We take your privacy seriously. Everything here complies with the UK General Data Protection Regulation (UK GDPR) and the Data Protection Act 2018.
Who controls your data
duxcasino-deutschland.de is the data controller for any personal information collected through this portal. Our contact address is [email protected]. When you have a question about how we handle your data, write to us there.
The operator of Dux – N1 Interactive Ltd – is a separate legal entity with its own privacy policy. Once you click through to the operator's platform and create an account, that operator's terms govern what happens to your data. We have no access to player accounts, deposits, or any information you provide directly to the casino.
Information we collect and why
Our site collects a small amount of data, and only what is necessary to run the portal and improve its content.
Technical and usage data
Like most websites, we log technical information automatically when you visit:
- Your IP address and approximate location (country level)
- Browser type, operating system and device category
- Pages viewed, time spent on each, and the order you visit them
- Referring site (where you came from before arriving here)
We use this data to understand which parts of the site are useful, which pages need improvement, and how readers move through the content. We never combine this technical data with your real name or email address – it remains anonymous throughout.
Information you provide voluntarily
If you contact us through the email address given on our Contact page, you will share your name, email address and the content of your message. We use that information only to respond to your enquiry, and we retain the correspondence for up to 12 months in case follow-up is needed.
We do not operate a registration system, a newsletter sign-up, or any other form that asks for your details. The only way we receive identifiable information from you is when you write to us directly.
Lawful basis for processing
Under UK GDPR, every use of personal data must have a lawful basis. Ours are:
- Legitimate interests – we process technical and usage data to operate the site, prevent abuse, and improve the content. A review portal cannot function without knowing which pages are read.
- Consent – where third-party analytics or advertising scripts run (see Cookies and third parties below), your consent is requested through the cookie banner when you first visit.
- Contractual necessity – when you contact us, processing your email and name is necessary to respond to your request.
Cookies and third parties
Our site uses cookies. A cookie is a small text file stored on your device that helps the site remember your preferences or measure how the content performs. For full detail on which cookies we set and how to control them, see our separate Cookie Policy.
We use third-party services for analytics (to understand traffic patterns) and, where applicable, advertising (to fund the portal). Those services – such as Google Analytics – may set their own cookies and collect data under their own privacy policies. We do not control those third parties, and we recommend reading their policies if you want to know what they do with the data they collect.
You can refuse or delete cookies through your browser settings at any time. Doing so will not break the site, though some preferences may not be remembered between visits.
How we share your information
We do not sell, rent or trade your personal data to anyone. We share it only in the limited circumstances below:
| Recipient | What is shared | Why |
|---|---|---|
| Hosting provider | Server logs (IP, pages visited) | To deliver the site to your browser |
| Analytics service | Anonymised usage data | To measure traffic and improve content |
| Advertising network (if applicable) | Cookie identifiers, approximate location | To show relevant ads and fund the portal |
| Law enforcement | Any data, if legally required | To comply with a court order or regulation |
We work only with service providers who commit to protecting personal data under UK GDPR or an equivalent standard. Where data is transferred outside the UK, we ensure adequate safeguards are in place – typically standard contractual clauses approved by the Information Commissioner's Office.
Your rights under UK GDPR
You have the following rights over the personal data we hold. To exercise any of them, write to [email protected] with enough detail for us to identify your request.
- Access – ask for a copy of the data we hold about you.
- Rectification – request that we correct inaccurate or incomplete information.
- Erasure – ask us to delete your data, where we have no legal reason to keep it.
- Restriction – request that we stop processing your data temporarily, while a dispute is resolved.
- Portability – receive your data in a common electronic format, or have it sent to another controller.
- Object – tell us to stop processing your data for a particular purpose, where that processing is based on legitimate interests or direct marketing.
- Withdraw consent – where processing relies on your consent (e.g. analytics cookies), you may withdraw it at any time through your browser settings.
These rights are not absolute – certain exemptions apply, particularly where disclosure would harm another person or obstruct a legal obligation. We will explain our reasoning if we cannot fulfil a request in full.
Complaints and the supervisory authority
If you believe we have mishandled your personal data, you have the right to lodge a complaint with the UK's supervisory authority, the Information Commissioner's Office (ICO). You can reach them at ico.org.uk, by phone on 0303 123 1113, or by post at Information Commissioner's Office, Wycliffe House, Water Lane, Wilmslow, Cheshire SK9 5AF.
We would appreciate the chance to resolve your concern directly before you escalate it – write to us first at [email protected].
How long we keep your data
We retain personal data only as long as necessary for the purpose it was collected:
- Server logs and anonymised analytics data: up to 26 months, then aggregated or deleted.
- Email correspondence: 12 months from the last message, then deleted unless there is an ongoing issue that requires us to keep it longer.
- Cookie consent records: 12 months, then refreshed.
Once the retention period expires, data is either anonymised (stripped of identifiers) or securely deleted.
Protection of minors
This site is intended for adults aged 18 and over (18+). We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under that age. If you are a parent or guardian and believe your child has contacted us or provided data to this portal, write to [email protected] and we will delete it promptly.
Gambling operators require players to be 18 or older under UK law. Our content is informational, but it concerns an adult activity. If you share a device with a minor, consider using parental-control software such as Net Nanny or Qustodio to restrict access to gambling-related sites.
Changes to this privacy notice
We may update this notice from time to time – for example, when we adopt a new analytics tool or change hosting providers. The date at the bottom of this page shows when it was last revised. Significant changes will be highlighted at the top of the notice for a reasonable period after the update.
We recommend checking this page occasionally if you want to stay informed about how we protect your data.
Contact us
Questions, requests or concerns about this privacy notice should be sent to [email protected]. We aim to respond within 48 hours on business days.
For questions about your account, deposits, bonuses or technical issues with the casino itself, contact the operator's own support channels – we have no access to player accounts and cannot assist with those matters.
